They can deploy whatever they want, say what they want and raise all the hell they want.

America owns the Taiwan Strait.

I think Japan and South Korea would love a shot at taking Manchuria. Might even get North Korea and Russia to join.

I don't believe that China will attack anybody. They don't have to. Taiwan will eventually go the way of Hong Kong without bullets being fired.

The biggest reason that China will never go to war over Taiwan is that they don't want to destroy the island's infrastructure and industry. They also know that their own infrastructure and industry would be bombed into the Stone Age by US strategic bombers and missiles.

All that destruction is stupid and makes no sense to the Red Chinese who are very practical people.

But dead fish? That sends a message and you can bounce right back.
